Madeleine Lucia is a small-batch candle studio built on a simple idea: warmth is worth making slowly. Here's how ours is made.
The founder
Named for two

Madeleine Lucia carries the names of the two women who taught me that a home is made of small, warm things — a set table, fresh flowers, and always, always a candle lit at dusk.
I started pouring at my kitchen table for people I loved. That intention hasn't left. Every candle is still made the slow way, by hand, in small runs.

The process
From wax to wick
Measured & melted
Coconut-soy wax, measured by weight, never by eye, and melted slowly to the right temperature.
Poured & cured
Poured in runs of forty, then left to cure for two full weeks so the scent binds to the wax.
Burned & tested
Every scent is burned end to end before it ships — checking the melt pool, the wick, the room.
A few small years
2019
A kitchen table
Madeleine poured her first batch for a friend's bridal shower. The bride kept every jar.
2021
The little studio
We outgrew the kitchen and moved into a sunlit studio, pouring in runs of forty.
2023
Weddings & gifting
Custom-label candles for weddings became a chapter of their own — over 200 celebrations.

Still by hand
Every candle is still measured, poured, cured, and tested by hand. That part never changes.

Coconut-soy blend, cotton wicks, phthalate-free fragrance. Vegan and cruelty-free, every time.
